International Business English with Confidence

A WORLD WITHOUT BORDERS

We live in an interconnected world. From the food in our supermarkets to the cars on our roads, goods and services move across borders like never before. With so many players, it can be a challenge to remain competitive in this ever-changing world. Good communication is essential for success.

GET YOUR MESSAGE ACROSS

English is the default language for international business communication with an estimated 1.35 billion worldwide users. A recent poll of 26 countries conducted by Ipsos Global Public Affairs for Reuters found that 67% of those surveyed used English on a daily basis. For most of those people, English was not their native tongue.

THE NEW NORMAL

Another trend in international business has been the growth of online communication. From an economic and environmental perspective, international travel has become less vital or desirable for productive international relationships. The Coronavirus pandemic has accelerated this change, with more and more employees working online from home.

THE BIGGEST SHIFT IN GENERATIONS

It’s not only international business that has gone online. From specialist courses to university degrees, education is no longer confined to the classroom. Instead, millions are achieving their goals through online-learning. The British Council estimates that there were over 1.5 billion people learning English in 2021. 22% of those were studying exclusively online, and that number is rising all the time.
